Sluurp is free for non-commercial use. Commercial use needs a business licence, one per server. Sluurp ships as binaries only; its source is not published.

In short

• Free: personal projects, study, schools, clubs, charities and anything else that doesn’t earn money. Every feature, the AI included. Share the unmodified binaries for the same uses.
• Licensed: running a business on Sluurp, selling an app built on it, or building and hosting apps for paying clients. Development on your own computer needs no licence.
• Yours: the apps, data and content you make with Sluurp belong to you, including components the UI kit copies into your app.
• Not transferable: a business licence is for the business that bought it. It can’t be resold or passed on, but you can move it between your own servers. The $99 licences for more servers are for the business holding the $499 one, never for another business or a client.
• Not allowed: modifying or reverse engineering the binaries, bypassing the licence check, selling or renting the binaries, or offering Sluurp itself as a hosted service.

1. Free for non-commercial use. You may download, install and run the Sluurp binaries, at no charge, for non-commercial purposes: personal projects, study, schools, clubs, charities and other uses that do not earn money. You may share the unmodified binaries with others for the same purposes.

2. Commercial use needs a licence. Running Sluurp to operate a business, to earn money from an application built on it, or to build or host applications for paying clients is commercial use. Commercial use is allowed only on servers covered by a paid commercial licence, one licence per server, on the terms of that licence. Development on your own computer does not need one.

3. Commercial licences are yours alone. A commercial licence is granted to the person or business that bought it, for its own use. It may not be resold, rented, lent, given away, shared or otherwise transferred to anyone else, alone or with anything else, without the written agreement of the Sluurp authors. You may move a licence from one of your own servers to another, as long as it covers no more servers at once than you paid for.

Licences for additional servers, sold at a lower price, extend a first full-price licence. They may be used only by the same person or business that holds that first licence, on its own servers. They may not be bought for, used by or passed on to anyone else: another business, a client, a partner, or a company in the same group that is a separate legal entity.

4. What you may not do. You may not modify, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the binaries, except where the law allows it despite this term; remove or bypass the licence check; sell, rent or sublicense the binaries or a licence; or offer Sluurp itself as a hosted service to others.

5. Your applications are yours. The applications, data and content you make with Sluurp belong to you. Code the UI kit places in your application (a component you copy, a story it writes) is yours to use in that application under the same terms as the rest of it.

6. Third-party software. The binaries include software from others under their own licences, listed below. Those licences apply to those parts.

7. No warranty. Sluurp is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. In no event shall the authors be liable for any claim, damages or other liability arising from the use of Sluurp.

8. Ending. This licence ends automatically if you break its terms. On ending, you must stop using Sluurp and delete your copies.
